PLEASE NOTE:
When wearing a raincoat, the clothes inside getting wet is not necessarily due to the raincoat leaking.
This phenomenon can be caused by several factors:
Limited Breathability: Most raincoats, while effective at keeping out rain, offer limited breathability. This means that the heat and moisture generated by your body may not be efficiently released through the material of the raincoat, leading to the buildup of sweat inside, which can soak your undergarments.
Condensation: In cooler conditions, the warm air from your body can meet the cooler inner surface of the raincoat, which may result in condensation as the water vapor turns into liquid, causing the undergarments to become moist.
Inappropriate Undergarments: If the undergarments you wear under the raincoat do not have moisture-wicking capabilities, the sweat can be absorbed and held within the fabric rather than being quickly drawn away to the raincoats outer layer, leading to a sensation of being drenched.
To minimize this, its recommended to choose a raincoat with better breathability and to wear undergarments that have good moisture-wicking properties to improve comfort and stay dry.
