Description

You are looking at a set of 10 / 20 / 50 / 100 / 250 or 500 brand new never used, hard to find 3/8"-16 X 1 1/2" nickel plated hanger bolts to display, make your own, or repair beer tap handles, and the smaller 5/16-18 X 1 1/2" nickel plated hanger bolts to make your own or repair your tap handles. THESE ARE WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE A BEER TAP HANDLE DISPLAY OR A CUSTOM BEER TAP HANDLE!! There are generally 2 different sizes of hanger bolts used in the beer tap handle industry. The 3/8"-16 size and the smaller 5/16"-18 size. The larger size (3/8-16) are used for displaying tap handles, because that is the thread of a standard American beer faucet. Both sizes are used to make tap handles and youll find ferrules that attach both to the 3/8" and others that attach to the smaller 5/16" size. How to tell?? If your base ferrule has the same size threads on both the top and bottom (you can screw the ferrule upside down onto your beer tap faucet) then you need the larger 3/8-16 size. If the bottom thread on the ferrule is larger than the top thread, you need the smaller 5/16-18 thread. Please see our other listings for the ferrules and bolts in sets. These are very simple to install... First, drill a 3/8” diameter hole in hard surfaces like resin, 5/16" hole in soft surfaces like wood for whatever you’re using for the display. The hanger bolt screws in best and most efficiently if using a hanger bolt driver. We suggest you make sure the piece youre using is at least 1.25” thick so the hanger bolt doesnt go through. Screw the hanger bolt into the piece you just drilled leaving about 1/2" of the bolt part sticking up. You are now ready to finish your display or new tap handle by screwing on either the bottom ferrule or tap handle onto your display.
