Offstring Play Option

The Xodus II rubber rims is great for offstring yoyoing. Offstring yoyoing is a style where the yoyo string is attached to your finger, but not to the axle of the yoyo. This allows you to launch the yoyo up in the air completely disconnected from the string, and then catch it back and wind it back up. Its tough to learn, but really impressive once you learn a few offstring tricks.

Yomega Xodus II - Beginner Freehand/Counterweight (5A) YoYo

In yo-yo competitions, counterweight yo-yos are emphasized in the 5A division. For this style of play, the string is not tied to a players hand. Instead, it is tied to a counterweight, in this case, a dice. The dice is thrown from hand to hand and adds more skill to trick play.
