The cover/sock are easily installed and SUPER STRONG, slide right on in less than 5 min. They will help protect your entire hose and couplings from UV damage as well as you will not have to directly touch the hose any longer protecting your hands. When a hose is not being used or stowed away, the cover/sock stays on and remains with the hose making it easier for storage. each sock is 10 ft + in length. it is a UV-protected fabric cover.
