Care and Maintenance
A Gas-powered chainsaw has a lot of moving parts that can wear out easily due to friction; its essential that you take proper care of your tool to extend its lifespan. Below are some tips to help keep your chainsaw in good shape.
1. Sharpen the chain from time to time. Sharp teeth make it easier to cut through wood and reduce the chances of slips and kickbacks.
2. Clear off debris from the chainsaws teeth to ensure that it doesnt rust.
3. Ensure proper chain tension; a loose chain may fall off or break on impact, while a tight chain might stall the blade.
4. Check the chain oil frequently to ensure that the chains are sliding without much stress.
5. Store your chainsaw in a clean, dry location and out of the reach of children and untrained persons.
6. Always check and clean the air filter to prevent dust, dirt and more from getting into the fuel supply and destroying the engine.
