We have found a company that focuses on Rack Plating which is a lot more expensive and the process does take a longer time to finish but it insures that the material(chains&clasps) is not making physical contact with other material(chains&clasps) so that way plating is more focused and it physically holds the parts in a secure manner. To maintain electrical contact with and to pass direct currents to the parts.

There are many levels of rack plating and that is

- Poorer grade

- Plating grade

- Normal hanging

- AAA grade (This is the one we have chosen to use for all our purse chains and clasps, it is more expensive and time consuming)

Barrel Plating in a nutshell: Throwing a bunch of material into the charged liquid barrel that moves the pieces around (cheap chains)

Rack Plating in a nutshell: Hanging material separate from each other to maintain electrical contact with and to pass direct currents to the parts and slowly dropping it into the liquid for a longer time (premium chains)
