Arcadia sheets are made with high-quality 100% organic flannel cotton. Many chemicals in pesticides and herbicides used in cotton farming have long-term negative effects on the environment and even on our skin. Using organic cotton will cause less allergies and irritation to the skin. No man-made chemicals were used to grow the cotton used in these sheets, and was left in its natural unbleached state. Prepping Your Flannel Massage Linens (First Wash Instructions)
Prepping: The first wash and dry cycle is the most important. To avoid excess fabric pilling (i.e. tiny lint balls) wash and dry in a full but not stuffed load. Wash your sheets in cold water on the gentle cycle. The gentle cycle is extremely important because this cycle uses less motion causing less friction. Add one cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle. Adding vinegar will allow the fiber to expand with less pilling, preserving the color, keeping them from fading and looking dingy over time.
*If using a front loading machine, use the extra water setting.
Tumble dry on warm or medium heat on a gentle setting or remove sheets from the dryer when sheets are slightly damp. Don’t use dryer sheets, this can cause undue friction that causes the flannel to pill over time.
Flannel Massage Linen Routine Washing Instructions
Stains: Always pretreat stains. We recommend Dawn dish soap. Generously apply it to stained area 5 or more minutes prior to washing. If you notice stains between the washer and dryer pretreat stain and wash again. Drying can set stains making them permanent.
Washing: Machine wash in warm to avoid setting stains. use manufacturers recommended amount of detergent or soap.
Drying: Check for stains before drying. Dry on warm or hot or line dry to save energy.
