This is a CORRECTLY MADE- SET OF CAMSHAFT ALIGNMENT TOOLS THAT WILL WORK FOR ALL FRONT WHEEL DRIVES including 4 cylinder (S40 V40) 5 cylinder, and 6 cylinder engines 100% compatible with Volvo 850, S70, V70, XC70, V90, 960 S90,S60 S80 C30 V40 S40 V50 2 flat L shaped brackets, with round camshaft bosses protruding at the ends. These are used to align the camshafts against each other by securing the camshafts at the distributor- aperture wheel end (The end that is opposite the cam gears- on the other side of the cylinder head) via bolts that are provided in the kit, and with the aid of the G bracket attach it to the top of the valve cover . There are 4 bolts in the kit and 2 extra extensions for the camshaft bosses, for camshaft alignment on the 2000 and later models. If you look closely at the picture, you will notice that the teeth on the bosses are not square but rather triangle in shape. This was done because the corresponding area on the engines camshaft is a reversed triangle. Exact match of the tool against the camshaft will allow you to line up the camshafts with a 100% accuracy, and not 5-10 degrees off.
