In 1898 an energetic young man aged 20 produced his first timepiece. So well was it received that the business of M. A. Rapport & Co was born. Maurice A. Rapport could have had no idea that the business that he had founded would become a household name in clockmaking and horology throughout the world and that the clocks produced by the company would find themselves gracing fine homes in all four corners of the globe.
Four generations later the business remains a private limited company and still follows the philosophy, laid down by the founder, of innovation, quality and service continually investing in technology and customer care.
Rapport horological products have always been stylish with quality in mind. Our latest ranges of automatic watch winders, watch collector boxes, jewellery boxes and pocket watches offer new and exciting designs, finished to the highest standard that you have come to expect. For the ultimate in horological expertise you need look no further than the Rapport Collection made exclusively for the connoisseur of fine products.
Rapport have gained an enviable reputation for quality and craftsmanship in the world of horology and we are proud of the Oxford range of pocket watches. Manufactured to the highest standard these watches have drawn their inspiration from watches of a bygone era.

"Everyone admires attention to detail and that’s where Rapport excel."
- Max Chilton
An Open-faced pocket watch, is one with no metal cover to protect the crystal watch face. The pendant is usually located at 12 o’clock.
Our collection of Open Faced pocket watches are designed from the simple to the most complicated of movements. Utilising the latest micro quartz movements has enabled us to create an ultra-thin watch, just 4mm thick whilst many of our mechanical watches have additional features seen on the dial and viewed through visible back glass.
The Half Hunter or “Demi-hunter” has a case where the outer lid has a glass panel or hole in the centre to give a view of the hands. Often, the hours are also marked on the outer lid to enable one to tell the time without opening the case. The rear panel on Hunter style watches is often hinged to allow it to open and reveal the intricacy of the movement, this style is referred to as a “Double Opening” pocket watch.

A Hunter-case pocket watch or “Full Hunter” has a case with a spring-hinged metal lid or cover, that
closes over the watch-dial and crystal, protecting them from dust and other damage. Traditionally hunter-case watches have the lid hinges at the 9 o’clock position and the stem of the watch at the 3 o’clock position but many modern hunter-case pocket watches have the hinges at the 6 o’clock position and the stem at the 12 o’clock position, as with open-face watches.
