Description

The Torrey Pines EchoTherm HS30-602 PTFE 6" temperature control probe has a platinum RTD (resistance temperature detector) and is for use with the Torrey Pines EchoTherm hot plates or stirring hot plates (sold separately). The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) probe provides resistance to chemicals at temperatures up to 260 degrees C. Its 3 cable connects the plug to the probe. This probe is used to monitor the temperature of liquid samples on a hot plate or stirring hot plate during heating or mixing applications.

Laboratory hot plates are electric or gas-fired benchtop appliances that are used to heat glassware or its liquid or solid contents. Stirring hot plates can stir a liquid solution by means of a stir bar that is spun magnetically inside the vessel holding the solution. Hot plates are commonly used in scientific research, clinics, and classrooms.

Torrey Pines Scientific manufactures chilling and heating laboratory equipment such as hot plates, mixers, dry baths, and incubators. The company, founded in 1995, is headquartered in Carlsbad, CA.
