Back in 1995, a couple of skateboard shop owners and a pro skater named Tim Gavin had a vision to create a footwear brand designed specifically for skateboarding. DVS, as they originally named it, has become a globally recognized force in the footwear market, yet the founding partners havent wavered from the mantra the brand was built on--to create quality footwear made for skaters by skaters. While it now caters to the breadth of the boardsports world, DVS remains focused and committed to sponsoring the best skateboarders, supporting the best skateboard events, and backing the best skateboard retailers in the world.
