HOW TO RERESTING:

You don’t take it apart. You spin it until the arrow lines up with the hole. Then you just feed about ten feet of line on each side and spin it. It spools up as you spin. If you have leftover line inside the spool you will need to take the unit off to empty the line. You are supposed to be able to press- in the panels on the side enough to clear the retaining ledge to free the top of the unit to pull out the spool (you have to do this on both sides)

If you have leftover line inside the spool you will need to take the unit off to empty the line. You are supposed to be able to press-in the panels on the side enough to clear the retaining ledge to free the top of the unit to pull out the spool (you have to do this on both sides). I could not press the side panels in enough to free up the top piece. So I used a flat head screwdriver from the top going down into the ledge area to leverage out the panel from the retaining ledge. This worked fine. Then you just put it all back together and line up the line-holes on the sides to where you can see through the unit to the other side. To do this you hold the bottom of the unit and turn the top part (with the holes). Then you run about 10-12 feet of line through the holes (5-6 feet extending on each side). Then hold the bottom piece and turn the top to load the line onto the spool.
