Specification:

  • Multiple load control modes: manual control, lighting ON/OFF, light On+Timer
  • Advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology, with efficiency no less than 99.5%
  • Wide MPPT operating voltage range
  • Accurately recognizing and tracking of multiple power point
  • LCD display design, dynamically displaying tools operating data and working condition
  • Available for PC monitoring and external display realizing real-time data checking and parameters setting
  • Charging Power and Current Limitation Function
  • PV short circuit / PV reverse polarity /Battery over voltage
  • Battery over discharge / Battery reverse polarity / Load overload protection

When the charging current or power of the PV array exceeds its rated current or power, it will be charged at the rated current or power.

NOTE: When the PV modules are in series, ensure that the open-circuit voltage of the PV array does not exceed the "Max. PV open-circuit voltage" rating. Otherwise the controller may be damaged. (VOC Dont exceed 92V!)

  • This 30A Mppt Charge Controller works with Max 500W Solar Panel Charging a 12v Battery System, or 1000W Panel on 24v Battery System.
  • (Max Rated Input Power: 390W @ 12V battery | 780W @ 24V battery)

Battery type selection: lead-acid (Gel, Sealed, Flooded) and Lithium, voltage parameters can be set on the controller

(For the BCV, FCV, LVD, and LVR, users can modify them on the local controller when the battery type is "USE.")

How to program for Lithium Battery?

  1. Set the battery type via the LCD (LiFePO4(4S/ 8S) and Li(NiCoMn)O2 (3S/6S/7S))
  2. Via PC (Accessories needed:RS485),
  3. Via phone APP (Accessories needed:Ebox-Wifi or Ebox-Blue)

Step: Connect the system in the order of 1.battery-->2. load-->3.PV array, and disconnect the system in the reverse order 3. 2. 1.

  • NEVER connect the soalr panel array to the controller Without/ Before a Battery.
  • Battery must be connected first !!!
  • DO NOT connect any inverter/ wind / Alternator or Charger into the solar charge controller!
  • If the remote temperature sensor is not connected to the controller, the default setting for battery charging or discharging temperature is 25 °C without temperature compensation.
  • The wire size is only for reference. If there is a long distance between the PV array and the controller or between the controller and the battery, larger wires can be used to reduce the voltage drop and improve performance.
  • If the PV array is reverse connected to the controller,1.5 times rated controller power (watts)from the PV array, will damage the controller.

QA

  • Would the unit be damaged if the battery polarity is reversed?
  • It is required to connect the battery first, if the battery polarity is reversed in this step, the controller has the protection and would not be damaged. But if the user connects the PV first and then, unfortunately, connects the battery polarity reversed, the controller would be damaged. This is caused by lithium battery characteristics.

  • Can the lithium battery type be chosen via the LCD and button on the controller?
  • Yes, the TracerAN series 10-40A charge controller (softwareSV200 or above version ) supports choosing lithium battery type via LCD. But WiFi/Bluetooth module or PC is required if the user wants to customize the voltage setpoints.

  • Can I set Max. charge current?
  • No such feature, the only way to limit the Max. charge current is to connect fewer solar panels.
