Driving along a sun drenched highway in California in my Prius car, I could hardly see my navigation screen. The sun whitened it out. I set out to solve this problem since I did not see anything in the market to address this issue. Out came the design for the Navishade. Got a few made using 3D printing and tested it or on my friends who had similar problem. They loved it. It is just a simple design. 3 pieces which will snap together to block sun rays. Once you snap them together, it is difficult to take it apart. One piece is 7" long with tongues to go into CD slot. There 2 other pieces which are 3" long which attached to the first piece. While it was designed for Prius, it will fit many other navigation units. It will not fit some Prius, if the radio had been upgraded to a deluxe version. The best way to make sure this gizmo will help you is to see whether you have 7" long CD slot. Try it first workout attaching the side pieces.
