This is a shorty shark rig, just 5 1/2 feet long. Typically used as the bottom half of a Land Based Shark Rig with a monofilament leader above it, (our combos have both) it also works for a pitch bait. The non-offset, non-stainless, circle hook is compliant with Amendment 5 to the 2006 Consolidated Highly Migratory Species Fishery Management Plan (77 FR 73029) and NY ECL 13-0338. This is an Atlantic Ocean and tournament legal shark rig. The stainless steel cable is 270# test, 3/64" diameter, 7x7 49-strand construction. Like all Cardinal Tackle cable shark rigs, the connections to the hook and 4/0 Rosco brass swivel are double crimped and protected by heat shrink. This rig is made by hand in the USA.
