A1: My laptop dont have usb c port, but if I use a usb to usb c converter, will hub work?
Q1: Please note that there is currently no USB C hub on the market that supports USB to USB C converters. Castries usb c laptop docking station triple monitor drives triple monitors via USB-C alt-mode DisplayPort, so it requires a full-featured USB-C or a Thunderbolt 3 laptop.
Q2: Black Screen Problem
A2: If the HDMI monitors go black for 2?4 seconds and then recover, it is normal. It is a process of EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) communication, which may blackout screen for a few seconds. The recovery time depends on the laptop and monitor (1 minute at max).
Q3:Possible causes of Non-Display:
A3: The docking station you connected to has new features for USB-C that your host device or connect cable doesn’t support.
The docking station isnt connected to the correct USB-C port on your host device.
The device is using an external hub or dock to connect to the docking station.
Too many other Alternate Mode devices or dongles are connected to your host device.
Q4: Resolution Problem
A4: To achieve optimal 3840 x 2160 resolution, please use it with a 4K screen display monitor and HDMI 2.0 cable. If you connect VGA, the resolution of all monitors will be limited to 1920 x 1080@60Hz (maximum).
Q5: Display Problem
A5: Windows Display Problem:
- A. Make sure the type c power delivery port on your laptop is USB 3.1 Type-C /Thunderbolt 3
- B. Check your HDMI cable.
- C. Ensure sufficient power supply from the USB C hub.
- D. Intel Graphics Card only supports 3 monitors MST triple display, thus one of four monitors will not be displayed.
- Apple Display Problem: For Apple laptop, in its extend mode, 3 external monitors will display the same content but laptop screen can display different content from them. Some Macbooks running Mojave will support only a single external monitor via USB-C. ( Ensure sufficient power supply from the USB C hub)
Q6: Hot Key for Display Mode
A6: For windows laptop, you can press "WIN + P" to quickly select the display mode. Once your laptop shuts down or goes to sleep, you need to replug the product to get extend mode again.
Q7: CANT charge my devices
A7: Check the host USB-C port of your device support power delivery or not.
