The TOTU Docking Station with two of USB 3.1(USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C)s most exciting new features: support for Alternate Modes and Power Delivery. Alternate Modes allow certain non-USB data and protocols (such as host video) to be sent over a USB-C cable, while Power Delivery enables you to power the supported system without the need for a traditional proprietary OEM charger.
When attached to a fully compatible USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C system, the TOTU Docking Station supports Windows, macOS&Latest Chrome OS
USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C Compatibility
Driver is required for Windows and macOS systems. Chrome OS users only need to upgrade to the latest system.
Advanced features: TOTU USB C docking station is also compatible with M1 chip MacBook and the driver breaks through the external display limitations of Apples silicon M1 chip. The docking station can drive totally 3 displays on the Macbook simultaneously with the M1 processor, and realize the extended display mode for macOS.
USB-C compatibility information is more complicated due to its versatility.USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C generally supports Alt Mode output and DisplayLink functionality, but support for Power Delivery/charging on these ports is system-specific.
With a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C connection, you can connect and charge your host USB Type-C devices.
Specific compatibility lists will be updated online as we test more systems internally, and we welcome compatibility reports from all the users as well.

DisplayLink USB graphics technology works great for most workloads. However, gaming is not supported, nor is HDCP copy protected content playback (Blu-Ray, Netflix, Amazon Prime video, Hulu, etc). Does not support DisplayPort MST daisy-chain connections or conversion to Dual-Link DVI. To use these display ports,the host USB-C port from your device must support DisplayPort Alt Mode. |
The TOTU Docking Station power supply can charge host systems with up to 60 watts of power (20V, 3A) via the USB Power Delivery standard. Some devices which support video output over USB-C will not charge via USB-C. For these systems, the charger from your system manufacturer will be required. Maximum resolution via HDMI output is 4K@30Hz . 2560x1600, 1080P and lower resolutions will display at 60Hz. The DisplayLink graphics supports dual monitors up to 4K@60Hz each.DisplayPort equipped monitors and the DisplayPort cable must support DisplayPort 1.2 specification. 4K@60Hz Notes: To achieve 4K@60Hz each connected monitor and cable must support the desired resolution and refresh rate.
