1. ChiselingGreat for hitting Japanese wood chisel. It enables accurate woodworking with a chisel, such as cutting, mortising, chopping, paring and shaping, etc. |
2. Adjusting and setting planeFor Japanese block planes, it is essential to adjust the blade with a Japanese hammer. With the right adjustments, you can make the beautifully smooth woods surface. |
3. NailingIt is an ideal hammer for hitting a nail. If you make a pilot hole with a Japanese woodworking drill (KIRI auger) in advance, you can nail more precisely and quickly. Please hit with a flat face at first. When you nail mostly, change to a domed face for finish strike. The domed face head does not damage the wood surface. |
