About Throttle Body
The Throttle Body is a device located in the engine compartment, between the intake manifoldand air intake pipe. It is similar to the carburetor but does not regulate fuel flow. The throttle body monitors the amount of air that can flow into an engines combustion chamber.
The throttle body controls the amount of air that is let into the engine. It is controlled by the throttle which opens a butterfly valve, allowing different amounts of air in during acceleration. If youre experiencing lack of power or rough idle this may indicate throttle body problems.
