Description

Many of you are probably familiar with eeBrakes, and theyrepretty much the only brakes that we know of that drop some serious grams thatstill work well enough that we wouldnt hesitate running them on our ownbikes. Its ideal for a high-end weight saving upgrade that doesntsacrifice on braking power. But because of the companys small size, its ability to offer these brakes to those wanting to dole out the cashfor them has been limited, but the recent partnership with Cane Creekhas changed that. With Cane Creeks larger production capabilities,eeBrakes G4 Caliper Brake is now available for anyone looking to upgrade theirstopping performance while still providing exceptional modulation without theneed to jump on the disc-brake bandwagon. The body of the caliper is made from a strategic mix ofhigh-grade aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel bits, and the resultingdesign boasts impressive strength and stiffness, which increases modulation andbraking power. At the top, the cable runs into the caliper at the center ratherthan to the side as found in most rim brake calipers. EeBrakes calls this CrossCable Path, and it moves the brake cable out of the wind for increasedaerodynamic advantages. The eeBrake G4 is a wider design optimized for 22 - 28mmrims, comes with a stiffer black arch spring, a receives a revisedone-piece center adjuster with built-in resistance for easier adjustment. The Cane Creek eeBrakes Caliper Brake is compatible withframes using conventional center brake mount systems, Campy, Shimano, and SRAMlevers, and Shimano-style brake pads. Brake pads are not included.
