Feature

●Male to Female micro backbone drop cable :5 pin style contacts with M12 x 1.0mm male (outside) and female (inside)connection thread; Rotation required; To mate with coupling female socket and male plug.
●Insulation Resistance and Durability:DC500V+ -10%, test for 1 minute and the insulation resistance should be more than 100 MQ,4000 cycles insertion/extraction cycles at a maximum rate of 2000 cycles per hour.
●NMEA 2000 Certifiedand UL Certified:100 percent universal and compatible with other manufacturers products.Waterproof Test (IP67)Submersion in water, 2 meter for 72 hours.
●Durable material:Coupling screws/nuts are made of nickel-plated copper, wire core is made of tin-plated copper.Because Tin-plating can prevent copper from being exposed to the air and being oxidized to form a patina, while the poor conductivity of patina will increase resistance.
●3.3ft backbone/drop cable:Use for connecting to an NMEA 2000 device, or to extend the N2K backbone cable.Black Cable (22AWG/2C and 24AWG/2C) for NMEA 2000 Network.

Description

T(Tee) Connector for NMEA 2000 (N2k)T(Tee) Connector for NMEA 2000 (N2k)

NMEA 2000 is a low-cost data network that runs at 250 Kbps and uses a Controller Area Network (CAN) integrated circuit (IC). It allows multiple electronic devices to be connected together on a common channel to easily share information.

The simple NMEA-2000 network standard contains requirements for a serial data communication network for connecting marine electronic equipment on ships. When expanding the network, all T (Tee) must be located on the network backbone, and must not be cascaded or placed on the lead-in line of the sensor.

An important item that needs to be repeated is the voltage drop. You should have a good foundation in reducing the voltage drop, but you must also pay attention to the feeder. The wiring path from the battery to the NMEA-2000 power tee should be minimized to reduce voltage loss.

NMEA 2000 terminal resistance, installed or applied to the end of the NMEA 2000 keel main line. Used to absorb the reflected waves on the network and effectively enhance the signal strength.
