Description

About the M-8 Perpendicular Plate

One of the components of the Wimberley Modular Flash Bracket System. The M-8 plate attaches to a compatible Arca-Swiss style camera body plate at a 90-degree angle. This allows the M-8 to extend out from under the camera body parallel to the lens axis. This assures that your quick-release flash bracket and off-camera flash unit will face in the proper forward orientation when attached to the M-8. This plate is useful for many applications. When using a non-collared macro, telephoto, or wide angle lens, the M-8 can be used to connect the Wimberley F-1 Telephoto Bracket or the F-2 Macro Bracket to your camera body, for either hand-held or tripod applications. It is also useful in dual flash setups, and as a small macro slider for making small forward-backward adjustments.

About the Wimberley Flash Bracket System

Wimberley Flash Brackets bring a new level of versatility and functionality to the world of flash photography. Our unique modular design allows you to add components and reconfigure your brackets to meet nearly any photographic need. Our flash brackets feature a low-profile Arca-Swiss style quick-release clamp that works best with Wimberley quick-release plates, but will often work with other Arca-Swiss style plates.

The components of the system connect to one another simply and securely:
- No tools are needed for setup
- Connections are solid and cannot twist, creep, or slip apart
- Our captive knobs mean there are no small parts to loose
