Description

The Hanging Cheek Snaffle (also called a Baucher bit) has an eggbutt-like ring at the mouthpiece for the rein and a small ring to which the cheekpieces of the bridle are attached This bit lies flat against the horses face, and because of the way it attaches to the bridle, is quite fixed in the mouth. This gives it a more elevated position on the horses tongue and concentrates pressure on the bars. Without leverage, these bits dont exert poll pressure. The Baucher is a good snaffle for horses that tolerate very little bit movement in their mouths.
