Balanced and easy to handle
Ergonomic easy one hand operation
Multifunction
After removing the foil cap, insert the corkscrew in the center of the cork. Turn the handle and screw down enough for the first hinge to seat firmly on the edge of the bottle opening. Use your thumb and press in gently, and Hold Firmly, while slowly lift the handle to pull out the cork just enough to engage the second hinge.
Remove the cork the rest of the way.
When the air is dry or when the cork just looks or feels dry, place a dab of water with your finger on top of the cork; if the cork is weak, another dab of water midway around the edges of the bottle-lip will help smooth the extraction. At times when the cork looks & feels dried out, let a dab of water sit atop the cork for a minute or so before inserting the corkscrew.
When inserting into a fresh cork, continuously re-center the device every half to full turn to avoid going off-center . Look top-down from the handle to re-center the device.
When re-corking an opened bottle, reinsert the cork upside down as the lower part will have expanded slightly after extraction. Always wet the cork, on the bottles inside, before re-storing.
Finish it within a week.

First hingeLine up the spring loaded first hinge by gently pushing in, Hold Firmly in place, and pull the handle to extract the cork up half way. |
Second hingePosition the second hinge and pull up further slowly; be careful your pull is straight up, if that motion is angular, it may bend and break the cork; this is especially if the cork is dry due to improper storage. Always inspect the cork before inserting the corkscrew. |
