Description

Are you ready to attract fish to your dock every night without fail?

Our 175W Single Light system is a great way to bring fish to your dock and works best in murky or moderately stained water. Our bulbs work by initially illuminating the phytoplankton and reflecting light off of the naturally occurring organic particles in the water. This action will start to attract baitfish, and it won’t be long before this catches the attention of your larger predatory fish, and before you know it, youll have your own backyard aquarium teeming with marine life!

Our 175W single light system includes everything that you’ll need for installation and the only things that you’ll need to provide is a standard 110-volt grounded outlet and a post or piling to mount the control box. Every Underwater Fish Light control box includes an inline GFI on the plug as an added layer of safety, as well as a dusk to dawn photocell that will turn the system on sunset and turn off at sunrise. Each light includes 50-feet of wire from the control box to the bulb, a weight to anchor the bulb to the bottom, and heavy-duty zip ties for connecting the weight to the wire.

It’s critical that the light remains fully submerged at all times and is never illuminated outside of the water as this will irreparably damage the bulb. We suggest deployment at a depth no less than 4 feet, with the light as close to the bottom as possible and at least 10 feet off your dock. Please note that our bulbs cannot be unscrewed or removed as they are permanently sealed to the housing and the housing is permanently sealed to the wire. In the event that a replacement bulb is needed, all of our replacement light/bulb assemblies are available for purchase on Amazon.

The bulb includes a cage that can be removed and reinstalled as needed. Keep in mind that, while in operation, our bulbs run hot enough to prevent the growth of barnacles, but with the cage installed, this process will not occur as easily. Over time and depending on your location, you may develop barnacle growth, however this can easily be remedied by pulling your light from the water and allowing the bulb and cage to soak in pure white vinegar for no less than 24 hours. In turn, the white vinegar will break down the calcification and any remnants can be wiped off with an old towel. If you do have concerns with barnacles accumulating, you can always remove the bulb cages prior to deployment. Please note that the cage will not protect against damage from boat props or significant impact.

Our Underwater Fish Lights perform flawlessly in all environments, from saltwater to freshwater, from hot, subtropical climates to frigid waterways around the world, our systems are built utilizing the highest quality components and can withstand even the most extreme marine conditions. To further extend the life of your system, we strongly recommend complimenting your purchase with our Wire Shield conduit which easily slips over your underwater wire to protect against fishhooks, marine life, and hazardous sea floor conditions such as oyster beds or barnacles! Our Wire Shield can be purchased directly through our Amazon storefront.

For some customers, its all about attracting and catching fish, but for others its about creating a serene backyard experience and having your own backyard aquarium. Built with top-notch components and a bulb that should provide you with 6 to 8 years of solid operation, youll be able to enjoy our lights for many years to come.

Please note that this is a CLEAR bulb, and the green coloring will come from the light reflecting off the naturally occurring particles in your water. Depending on your location and if your water is very clear and lacks any strong tannins, the output of the bulb may look white.

Keep in mind that when taking pictures of our Underwater Fish Lights in operation, the output will often look greener in the photos than in real life. Simply put, our eyes do not see colors very well at low light levels as our vision is based entirely on photoreceptor cells that are sensitive to light, but not color. Modern cameras are able to process light and colors with ease meaning that pictures tend to be a bit more vivid.
