Operation Steps:

  1. When the eyepieces and objectives are ready, fix the slides on the platform.
  2. Start with the 4x objective. Connect the microscope to a power source,Turn on the LED illumination.
  3. Turn the focus knob until a clear image is obtained.
  4. Once the desired view has been obtained with the low magnification objective (4x), rotate the objective to the next high magnification (10x) (40x).
  5. Be careful not to touch the slide when rotating the objective

How to make biological slides?

  1. Wipe the blank slide clean with clean gauze.
  2. Place a drop of water on the slide.
  3. Use forceps to tear a small piece from the onion specimen.
  4. Place the torn inner epidermis on a slide, and use forceps to flatten the epidermis
  5. Hold the coverslip with forceps so that one side of the coverslip touches the edge of the water droplet first, and then slowly lower it.
  6. Use a dropper to draw iodine solution from one side of the coverslip and draw it from the opposite side with absorbent paper until the whole specimen is stained.
  7. Absorb excess dye and water with absorbent paper.
