Rivet Backup Washers are for use with Pop (Blind) Rivets, particularly in Stainless Steel or other soft metals. Rivet Backup Washers create a larger installed diameter which creates a larger surface area and prevents pull through by distributing force over a larger area than a standard blind rivet.

304 Stainless Steel Rivet Washers in this selection are made from durable and corrosion resistant grade 304 Stainless Steel. Stainless steel will not rust due to scratching due to the thin layer of chromium creating an invisible protective layer. This thin layer will rebuild itself in the presence of oxygen.	Adds Spacing and Prevents Pull-Through Blind rivet washers have many trade names including Rivet Backing Washers, Rivet Back Up Washers or just simply rivet washers. These names come from their function of application on the back of the rivets flange.This can be used as a spacer to create a tighter grip, or create a larger flange which distributes the force of the rivets grip over a wider area in the installation surface.	Matching Rivets Rivet Backing Washers are manufactured to meet the specifications of standard blind rivet sizes. For example a 1/8 inch rivet washer has an inner diameter specification of Max 0.136" - Min 0.132" . This is designed to match a 1/8 inch (or number 4) blind rivet.
