Action and Maintenance
The main function of the ignition coil is to "ignite" the spark plug and ignite the gas mixture in the cylinder. It is actually a transformer that converts the vehicles low-voltage current into high-voltage electricity.
If the ignition coil is not used properly, it can be easily damaged. Therefore, customers should pay attention to the following tips when using the ignition coil.
- Turn off the ignition coil when the engine is not operating.
- Avoid placing the ignition coil in a hot or humid environment.
- Spark plugs should not be left hanging for long periods of time and should be replaced regularly.
- Properly control the engine performance to suppress overvoltage.
- Inspect, clean and tighten circuit connectors periodically to prevent short circuits.
- Water on the ignition coil should only be dried with a cloth and not baked with fire, otherwise the ignition coil will be damaged.
