Description

Super Soft Silky Mohair Locks are our best selling craft fiber. Kid Mohair is a Premium Grade of longer locks from the very first shearing. We offer natural white as well as hand dyed hair colors - great fun for so many crafts from felting to doll making. Our Mohair locks are locally sourced and come from a small herd of Angora goats raised in the foothills of Mt.Rainier. They are cleaned and washed with biodegradable soap directly at the farm shop. We do not apply the harsh chemicals commonly used by commercial operations; therefore small pieces of vegetal matter may be included with your bag - these particles are easily removed by hand. Our locks are not combed or carded, and are priced accordingly. Depending on you particular craft you may have to further process the fiber. This fiber package is a full 1oz (28g - not 10g like most other offers); a great economic choice for budget minded crafters choosing to comb their locks themselves! Please hand wash in cool water. Our Mohair is graded and processed by the breeder herself. She is a certified livestock expert, practices cruelty free animal husbandry and is an accredited fiber judge and 4H teacher. Please note that the pictures are representative only - this is a natural product therefore each 1oz baggie looks a little different. With Living Dreams Yarn and Fiber products you can celebrate your creativity in a sustainable way: We commission independent dye studios and local fiber mills to produce small batches of our exclusive "Private Label" fibers...your purchase of our products directly supports independent artisans, local farms and their communities in the USA!
