Gather supplies and unroll the vinyl sheetNo matter which pre-cut trim kit you choose, youll need the vinyl wrap, a razor, a squeegee, rubbing alcohol and a hairdryer. Begin unrolling your vinyl sheet. Any large creases or tunnels down the vinyl will disappear once you begin installing it on your vehicle. |
Prep, clean, and make rough cuts of your pillar postTo prep your vehicle for installation, thoroughly clean your door pillar posts using rubbing alcohol. Having a surface free from dirt and grease will allow the vinyl to securely stick. To ensure you get the perfect fit, take measurements of all your door pillars and then transfer them onto your vinyl. Then, make rough cuts that are at least three-quarters of an inch larger than your measurements. This step will ensure you have enough material to tuck around the posts corners. |
Peel and begin applying the vinylOnce you peel off the backing, you can start applying the vinyl from the top. With the help of a squeegee, youll be able to easily create a smooth seal on your vehicle. To ensure your vinyl graphic pillar covers will stay in place, use a hairdryer to add some heat. Squeegee the surface again to smooth out any bubbles and help the trim to mold onto the surface. |
