The NiSi UV395 line of filters are enhanced UV protection filters. While many UV filters start blocking UV light and radiation at 369nm, the UV395 line begins even closer to the visible spectrum at 395nm, keeping even more ultraviolet light from damaging camera sensors and distortion images. Each filter is made of Japanese optical glass and an aircraft-grade aluminum frame. Each frame has threads for mounting to a lens, but also threads on the outside of the filter allowing the user to stack multiple filters or mount other accessories. The frame is also matte-black to eliminate reflections. The glass is NiSi SMC glass, with a 7+9 anti-reflective multi coating.
