The Tascam DP-008EX packs advanced features into a compact body that’s small enough to fit in your pocket for professional-quality recording on-the-go. The DP-008EX records at resolutions up to 16-Bit/44.1 kHz, features two omnidirectional condenser microphones, and offers two balanced XLR inputs with switchable +48v phantom power, two unbalanced 1/4" TS inputs, and the ability to record mic, line or Hi-Z instrument signals. With a mini USB 2.0 output it allows for high-speed file transfer to your Mac or PC and there is also a line output on a stereo pair of RCA jacks, and a 1/8" stereo output for headphones. The DP-008EX is extremely versatile with both mono and stereo file compatibility and onboard effects including Compressor, 2-band shelving EQ, de-esser and exciter, on each channel. It features Mastering effects for the stereo mix as well and an Auto Analysis Mastering tool that lets you choose between maximum or natural. The unit conveniently records WAV files to SD/SDHC cards up to 32GB, can record 2 mono tracks or 1 stereo track simultaneously and offers up to 8 tracks simultaneous playback. For the perfect performance, it provides an integrated metronome and tuner. It runs on 4 AA batteries for 5.5 hours and can also be powered by Tascams BP-6AA external battery pack or the PS-P520 AC adapter.
