Description

The K2 Freeloader Splitboard Package is a versatile, powerful set up for earning your turns when exploring the backcountry. The Freeloader was built to climb faster, descend sharper and get you further into the backcountry than any splitboard K2 has ever built. Based on the same unisex line as the K2 Marauder Split, the Freeloader shape is perfect for riding hard in technical terrain, with a directional combination camber, a slight amount of setback and taper, and a mid-firm flex. A bit of taper in the tail helps it sink in the deep stuff, while the wider nose stays up well above the surface and blasts through choppy snow. An all-new core was developed with Paulownia Lite which is wrapped in a Triaxial braided fiberglass featuring ICG 20 technology. By integrating 20 tip-to-tail carbon fiber stringers into the fiberglass, K2 added pop to the board without unnecessary weight for edging and traversing on firm slopes and for extra snappiness on the descent. K2 also added premium top sheet technology, called Snophobic, which reduces snow build-up on the top of the board while climbing to keep you moving fast and light. This lightweight, backcountry ready set up comes with pre-cut skins, Karakoram Ultra Clips, mounting pucks and hardware. All you will need to buy separately is some bindings and you are good to go. If you yearn for countless hours in the skin track and a healthy dose of bagging summits and ridgelines, and more powder turns than you can shake a stick at, this is the set up for you.
