Possible Problems & Solutions
- The external device can work depending on the operating system on your computer whether has the capabilities to detect devices, otherwise, you would need to download a driver.
- The newly released Windows system has discontinued the internal DVD media player software, customers using Windows 7 and above are advised to install "VLC Media Player" to Play DVD and CD.
- Some laptops have insufficient power and cannot provide enough voltage for the device to work normally, which may fail to read CD/DVD or slower reading speed. Please connect the external power supply of the laptop to use.
- If you are using a desktop, the driver cannot be recognized, or the DVD cannot be read, please connect the interface to the USB interface on the motherboard behind the PC host.
- If you have done the former steps properly and there is still a problem with recognizing your CD or DVD, its possible that the slots of the drive are unfastened. what you need to do is to push it again until the device.
- When reading a CD, the maximum reading speed is 24x. At this time, the speed of the CD is very fast, and unnecessary noise is likely to be generated. This is a normal phenomenon.
- Please note that the device can not read or write Blu-ray CD DVD.
