High precision durable files, manufactured from chrome alloy steel and heat treated by a special process to guarantee sharper teeth for outstanding cutting performance on all hard and soft metals, including platinum. Barrette files are tapered in width and thickness, coming to a rounded point at the end. Only the flat side of a barrette file is cut, leaving a safe edge and top. Escapement file lengths are measured from tip to the end of the cut and measurements do not include the tang. Measures 5-1/2" in length.
