Description

These chisels are made by a small tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and are of exceptional quality. The blades are made from fine-grained, nicely tempered chrome-manganese steel and hardened to Rc 59. The blades take and hold an excellent edge. The blades are accurately ground and have a slimmer cross section that woodworkers prefer. As with all edge tool, theyll need sharpening before use. These chisels are an excellent value in a good quality tool. This set of right and left skew chisels are designed to cut cleanly and easily when trimming tenon shoulders and dovetails, when getting into corners and when dressing end grain. Blades are ground to a 30 degree skew angle and have a 25 degree bevel. Blades are 1/4” or 6 mm wide by 4 ¾” long. Handles are stained hornbeam, are 5 1/4” long, 1 1/4” in diameter and have a brass ferrule. Overall length is 10 ”. They come with an edge protector, but no retail packaging.
