Outdoor sensor is water resistant, not waterproof. To extend its life, please place the sensor in an area that can protect it from direct weather elements.
Do not mount near electrical wires, transmitting antennas or other items that will interfere with the signal.
How to place the outdoor sensor?(Very Important)
1.Place the sensor horizontally, meanwhile, please place the sensor at a height of 2-2.5 meters in the air for a strong RF (radio frequency) signal.
2.Avoid more than one wall between the outdoor sensor and the indoor weather station.
3.Do not mount the outdoor sensor on a metal fence. This significantly reduces the effective range.
How to get the more accurate readings?(Very Important)
BALDR sensors are sensitive to surrounding environmental conditions. Proper placement of both the main unit and outdoor sensor are critical to the accuracy and performance of this product.
Protect the outdoor sensor from standing rain or snow and from the overhead sun, which can cause it to read incorrectly.
