Use this simple clamp (usually called a holdfast) for wedging the workpiece against the top of a workbench that has standard 3/4" bench dog holes. 4-1/4" reach. 8-1/4" long. 11/16" diameter. Cast iron. Just tap it down with a mallet to hold, tap it on the side to release.
