Best Things to Know Before Buying

Whats the region code?	DVDs will play only on DVD drives that use the same region code. If your DVDs are from the U.S. or CA, please set the region code to Number #1 (CDs have no region code restrictions). Each optical drive only has a 4~5 maximum DVD region change limit. If the DVD drive reaches the maximum number of changes, DVDs that don’t have a compatible DVD region code are ejected.
Change region code (Windows)	[1] Right-click the DVD-RW drive icon [2] Select Properties [3] Open the Hardware tab [4] Select the name of the player, and at the bottom, do Properties [5] Click the DVD Region tab [6] Select the code then press OK
Change region code (Mac)	[1] Insert the DVD into the DVD drive [2] It will pop up a window and ask you to choose a region that matches the DVD region. If you’re not asked to change your DVD region and the DVD plays, your DVD drive is already set to a compatible DVD region for that DVD.

If CD/DVD not show up on Mac	[1] Mac OS cannot detect the device unless there is a disc in the player [2]Please remove the hub/adapter and plug the data cable directly into your mac [3] Use the power supply cord together and get extra power from a 5V power adapter or other sources [4] Open up the Finder > Preferences, and make sure "CDs, DVDs, and iPods" has a check mark. Also, "External Disks", and "Hard Disks" are selected [5] If the problem is not solved, let us know, you don’t need to return the item.
If the tray cant be opened	For Aple Mac computer, to eject a disc, please right-click on the icon on the desktop and select "eject", or choose "File" > "Eject" button. For Windows computer, please press the eject button firmly once, OR press the eject button quickly several times. If the tray still wont open, please reach out to us for a free new one, you wont need to return the old one back to us
Has no software on Windows PC?	For a Windows computer, you can use Windows media player software to read, burn, or rip CDs and read data DVDs. If you want to play video DVDs, you can search and install the popular free VLC player (Do not download it from the Microsoft App Store). If you want the recommended reading, burning, or ripping software, please feel free to let us know.
Has no software on Mac PC?	For a Mac computer, you can use the "Apple Music" app (or iTunes) to read and burn CDs, or import music from CDs to your Mac, and use the "Apple DVD Player" app to play video DVDs. Incompatible device	It is a CD and DVD read-write drive that cannot play Blu-ray discs, and is not compatible with TV, car, truck, Android phone/ tablet, Chromebook, iPhone, iPad, projector, and Ubuntu OS. About DVD format	Just because you have a series of video files doesn’t mean they are compatible with DVDs. In fact, most computer and phone video formats are not compatible.
