How to replace a throttle body?
.Open your hood and locate your engines throttle body.
.Remove the air intake duct at the throttle body.
.Inspect the throttle body ports for carbon build up. Throttle bore wear is also common after long periods of time and throttle body assemblies will need to be replaced if worn.
.Remove the throttle cable from the throttle body control lever.
.Disconnect any air or vacuum hoses from the throttle body.
.Remove the throttle position sensor from the throttle body.
.Remove the throttle body mounting screws and remove the throttle body assembly. Discard the old gasket and install a new gasket between the throttle body and manifold during installation.
.Match the new throttle body to the old throttle body making sure that sensors, hoses and cables are all routed correctly to the new throttle body and that it mounts correctly to the intake manifold.
.Install in reverse procedure and follow manufacturer torque specifications during installation.
