FAQs:
Q1: The DP to USB C Cable is not bidirectional.
A: Our usb-c to displayport cable is bidirectional. It supports streaming from USB C Phone/Laptop/ Tablet to Monitor with DisplayPort or steam from DisplayPort Desktop/Laptop to Monitor with USB C Port.
But kindly NOTE that:
1. If connecting from USB-C (PC/tablet/smartphone) to DP (monitor/TV/projector), please make sure your USB-C PC device supports DP ALT Mode or Thunderbolt 3/Thunderbolt 4. Some support MST function DisplayPort monitors have two kinds of DisplayPort ports--“DP in” and “DP out”. The cable should be connected to the correct port “DP in”.
2. If connecting from DisplayPort (PC) to USB C (monitor), please make sure your USB C monitor supports DisplayPort signal input and plug it into the monitors Thunderbolt port with the Thunderbolt icon (NOT USB Port). If your monitors only have one Type C port, please make sure this port has a video transfer function.
3. One of the ends must be a monitor, it can NOT connect from PC to PC. If connecting from smartphone to monitor, its only for display, not allowed to use the touchscreen to control.
4. It needs to convert the signal. If it does not display, please unplug it or restart your PC to make several times attempts. When you remove the cable, please press the latch to remove the DisplayPort male side easily.
Q2: My monitor screen keeps flickering.
A: Please make sure the usbc to dp cable is stably connected and do not move your cellphone/ laptop and cable during use, then restart your cellphone/ laptop to try again.
Q3: I connect my USB-C laptop to DP monitor with the usb c dp cable but it doesnt work.
A: If your USB-C laptop supports DP Alt Mode, but the cable does not work, we suggest you:
1. Go to the official website of your laptop, update the BIOS and graphics driver, then restart your laptop to try again. Contact your graphics card manufacturer for more support if necessary.
2. Set the laptops resolution same as or lower 1080P.
Q4: It doesnt do 60Hz or HDR.
A: Our displayport to usbc cable supports max 8K@60Hz definition and HDR. But please note that display performance is subject to the host and external display. To experience 8K & HDR, both your usb-c and dp devices are required to support 8K and HDR.
