Product Description

Kolossus Fleks 0 Gauge Dual Amp Power Installation Kit. This kit was designed to simplify a dual amplifier installation by including all parts required to power a high current, two amplifier system.

KnuKonceptz Kolossus amp installation kits feature our top of the line Kolossus Fleks power and ground cables. Made up of ultra flexible pvc and ultra fine tinned strands of oxygen free copper (OFC), the Kolossus Kable is the standard for which all others are compared to. The KFX-PK20 amp power kit provides 18 feet of blue marine grade, full copper battery power wire and 2 feet of translucent black (smoke) ground wire. The KnuKonceptz FH-20 fuse holder comes with your choice of fuse size (see the FAQ to determine what size is right for you.)The fuse holder does not come installed within the cable, this allows the installer to place the inline fuse holder in an optimum location during installation. It also allows the installer to extend the power wire 1-3 by using the inline fuse holder to add cable to the main run (leaving the 18 as one unit and using the FH-20 to "splice" a few extra feet of wire should your installation require a longer run)

Kit Includes:

  • Battery Power Wire: 18 Feet Tinned OFC 0 Gauge Ultra Flex Blue
  • Battery Ground Wire: 2 Feet Tinned OFC 0 Gauge Ultra Flex Black
  • Fuse Holder: In Line ANL fuse holder with 300A Fuse
  • Terminals: 0 Gauge Gold Plated Ring Terminals (2 Black / 1 Red)
  • Fuse Block: BK-2020 2 Way Fuse Block with two 150A fuses
  • Amp Power wire: 6 Feet of 4 Gauge Blue Power Wire
  • Amp Ground Wire: 8 Feet of 4 Gauge Black Ground Wire
  • Wire ties, bushings and split loom

How many watts can this amp kit handle? At KnuKonceptz, we do not use "watts" to rate our amp kits. This is a very inaccurate method to determine what the proper gauge wire required for your amp installation. Many amp manufactures do not represent the output of their product accurately in watts. Please refer to your amplifiers fuse rating, this is a number a manufacture can not fake, well they could but it would put their product in harms way! Add up the fuses on the end of your amp (Three 80A fuses = 240A total draw) If this number is under 300A, this kit will fit your application.

Plain and Simple Specifications

All KnuKonceptz Cable Products clearly state these specifications

  • Wire type - CCA or OFC

These materials are commonly used, but not commonly stated when shopping online. Know what you are purchasing. Both metals are capable of performing up to their rated loads.

  • American Wire Gauge

Wire gauge is crucial to powering your system correctly. Undersized cable will create unsafe conditions and may shorten your amplifiers life.

  • Max Load (amps)

Wires ampacity changes with gauge and materials. KnuKonceptz does not rate cable based on watts. Amplifier manufactures do not always truthfully state the output of their product, check your on board fuses!

True American Wire Gauge (AWG) Products

  • Using American Wire Gauge standards, the gauge of stranded wire is determined by the total area of the conductor.
  • To calculate this you would take the area of each strand and add it together. This area, in square mm, then determines gauge.
  • Diameter is not as critical with stranded wire, this is due to the tiny air gaps between each strand. Diameter may fluctuate with strand size and how tightly wound the rope of the cable is.
  • The smaller the number, the larger the wire, until you reach zero or aught (0). From zero, you then have double aught (00 or 2/0), three aught (000 or 3/0) ...
  • Based on AWG, the true gauge of this cable is 0 Gauge

Tinned Copper - What the Pros Recommend

  • When bare copper is exposed to oxygen, it oxidizes over time (turns brown/green).
  • These contaminants are damaging to the cables ability to conduct electricity.
  • Tin provides a protective barrier from oxygen to the bare copper underneath.
  • By adding a thin layer of tin to each strand, the cable is no longer able to oxidize.
  • Tin does not react with oxygen and therefore the cable will never change color or have any change in its ability to conduct electricity

No Adapters Needed - Oversized Hardware

  • Internal gauge adapters add unnecessary contact points
  • Extra contact points can increase resistance, lowering your voltage.
  • By using larger diameter set screws, our block can hold a large or small gauge wire without the need for an adapter
