Description

Aluminum Pop Rivets - Countersunk, Flat Head

All Aluminum Flat Rivets

  • 3/16" (or #6) Rivet Diameter
  • Commonly referred to as flat rivets
  • Installed into countersunk holes for a flush surface (120 degree countersink)
  • Used to fasten two materials together quickly, and efficiently
  • Commonly used when there is no access to the blind side of the two materials
  • Commonly used in tracks, pulleys, and rollers
  • Aluminum hat and mandrel - Lightweight, Strong, Durable and Non-Magnetic

Like all Blind Rivets, Flat Rivets are used to connect two pieces of material quickly and efficiently. The hat of a countersunk rivet is almost inverted, with a 120 degree countersink in the integrated washer. A countersunk rivet is used in countersunk holes and once set is flush to the surface. They are used in tracks where the head will not protrude into sliding tracks or rollers.

Flat rivets have standard open ends. They are tubular, comprised of a hat and mandrel. When installed, the length of the mandrel is snapped off. Both the hat and mandrel are made of the same material.
