Our washable glove (sold individually for the fencing hand only) is made not with leather, but with synthetic suede. The man-made fabric allows excellent feel for the fingers yet is durable. Its outstanding advantage is that it remains soft after long use, unlike leather which hardeners as it absorbs sweat, and does not come to reek. It is best washed by hand (care instructions included).This synthetic suede glove comes with all the fine design features of its leather cousins: padded back of the hand; double-layer of thicker leather over thumb, forefinger and heel of palm to resist wear; adjustable hook and loop closure, streamlining cuff that conceals and protects body cord, hugs jacket sleeve and limits target exposure.
