●This 74mm 14 flute oil filter wrench is compatible with most Mercedes and Sprinter (not 3.0L Diesel), Porsche, many VW engines, some Ford, Mercury and Mazda 2.3L and 2.5L engines. Also compatible with many Mobil 1, Bosch, Mahle, and other spin on aftermarket filters.
●This oil filter wrench is proudly made in the USA. It is precision CNC machined from solid aluminum and includes a manufacturers lifetime warranty.
●The main body of the wrench is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized grey while the drive hub is made from 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum for ultimate strength and anodized red for better visibility.
●The wrench can be operated with a 3/8” drive ratchet or extension, or a 24mm socket.
Description
CNC Machined For A Better Fit
Our patent pending "2nd Generation" wrench design is manufactured using precision CNC machining as opposed to forging or casting like most others. While casting or forging is less expensive, the tolerance is much larger. This usually results in the wrenches being manufactured slightly oversized and creates a loose fit which can cause rounding of the cap.
With CNC machining, we can now maintain the size of the wrench to .001" or better, which is a MUCH tighter tolerance than casting or forging. We have also sized them to account for thermal expansion of the cap (which can be significant) and they have an ideal fit when the engine is still warm. They will be slightly loose when used on a cold engine but not enough to slip as we have tested this extensively.

High Quality Machined Aluminum
This oil filter wrench is made by Motivx Tools at our USA headquarters using high quality materials sourced in the US.
Our patent-pending design uses two types of aluminum, 6061 for the body (the grey part) and 7075 for the drive hub (the red part). 7075 aluminum is typically used in the aircraft industry and has properties similar to steel. It will not yield (deform) when the ratchet is rotated, even on the tightest oil filter caps.
