The story of the Pans filters:
It all started with a short film the Pans Team made at the request of Apple. The film, called Winter Homework, needed to be shot using the iPhone 13 Pro series using ND filters to control exposure due to the non-adjustable aperture of the iPhone. the film required 24 fps to create a cinematic experience. the Pans Team looked around and didnt find any friendly and suitable filter systems for iPhones on the market, so the Pans Team decided to create the ideal filter solution for iPhones and multifarious filters. Once the team began to use their own design, they realized this product offers much more fun for phone videography and photography than they ever expected.
Why dont we use digital filters?
Basically, digital filters, which are from camera apps and photo/video edit apps, cant generate similar effects of Dif-fusion and Special FX filters(such as Black Mist, Streak, Cross Star), because it will take a ton of computing power to simulate and it is very difficult for smartphones at the moment.
