Description

Installation Instructions

1.Disconnect negative battery terminal
2.Locate IAC valve on intake manifold or throttle body depending on engine/model year
3.Disconnect electrical connector to IAC valve by pressing down on tab
4. Remove IAC valve. It is held on with two 8mm or 10mm bolts depending on engine/model year
5.Remove gasket and clean mating surfaces of IAC valve and throttle body/ intake manifold
6. Insert bolts through IAC valve to ease in installationof restrictor plate. Slide gasket #71216 onto face of IAC valve, followed by Restrictor Plate, followed by another gasket 71216. Existing gasket may be reused

Order:IAC Valve →Gasket →Restrictor Plate→ Gasket→Intake

＊＊Note:Restrictor Plate is symmetrical and can be installed in either direction. For best results, install with the smaller hole on the electric motor side of IAC valve.

7.Reinstall IAC valve, Restrictor Plate, and gaskets on throttle body/ intake manifold. Tighten the two 8mm or 10mm IAC bolts
8. Reconnect IAC valve electrical connector.Push connector until it clicks
9.Reconnect negative battery terminal
