The YDS-12 has two modes - "A Mode" is "Works with iPhone" certified and works with the receivers listed here: RX-A3010/3000, RX-A2010/2000, RX-A1010/1000, RX-A810/800, RX-A710/700, RX-V871/867, RX-V671/667, RX-V571/567, RX-V471/467, RX-V371/367.

The second mode on the YDS-12, "Mode B," works with older line of the RX-V series. While in "Mode B," the YDS-12 works with: iPod touch, iPod nano, iPod Click Wheel (including iPod classic), and iPod mini.
