To Use the Choke Collar for Your Dogs
- You need to slide the collar through one of the loops to make it into an actual collar.
- Figure out what side your dog normally walks on. When they walk on your right, shape the collar in “q” and slide it over their head. If they walk on your left, shape it in a “p” and slide it over their head. It should slide over their head easily, but not be super loose. When it slides past their head it should have about two inches, maybe more, again depending on the breed, of slack.
- To make sure you’ve put it on correctly, stand next to your dog the way you expect to walk, with the leash attached. Now pull up on the leash. If the collar relaxes back to its original position, you’ve put it on properly.
