Function and Instructions for Use

Speed ??control mode (SV):

  • 1. External potentiometer for speed regulation: connect the two fixed ends of the potentiometer to the "+5V" and "GND" of the "control" terminal of the controller respectively, and connect the adjustment end to "SV". 10K?100K.
  • 2. External power supply speed regulation: connect the negative pole of the external power supply to "GND", the positive pole to "SV", and the voltage is 10V.

Forward/reverse control of the motor (F/R):

  • The direction of the motor is controlled by a toggle switch. In order to avoid damage to the controller, when changing the direction of the motor, the motor should be stopped before changing the direction, so as to avoid the operation of the motor in the running direction.

Enable switch (EN):

  • By controlling the on and off of terminals "EN" and "GND", the braking and stopping of the motor can be controlled.

Alarm fault (ALM)

  • When overvoltage or overcurrent occurs inside the controller, the controller enters the protection state, the controller will automatically stop working, the motor will stop running, the ALM will output a 5V high-level signal, and the red light on the controller will continue to flash. If this fault occurs, please check Whether the wiring is normal, whether the power supply voltage is normal, etc., whether the motor load is abnormal, etc.

Motor speed signal output (PG)

  • The controller provides the customer with a pulse signal proportional to the motor speed through the terminal "PG", and the pulse amplitude is 5V.
  • Speed ??= pulse frequency ÷ number of motor pairs × 60 (seconds);
  • Example: a 4-pole motor, the pulse signal is 50Hz, then its speed is: 50÷4×60=750(RPM)

  • HU, HV, HW, V+: Motor Hall signal. It is necessary to correctly connect the controller terminals and the corresponding wires of the motor. Wrong connection will lead to abnormal operation of the motor, wrong power connection and even damage to the controller and the motor. The Hall signal power supply shall not be used for other purposes other than those described in the manual.
  • U, V, W: Correspondingly connected with the motor wire. Wrong connection will cause abnormal operation of the motor, or even damage the controller and motor.
  • +: DC input
  • -: ground wire
  • RUN/ALM: Green light power light, turns on when power is on; red status light, flashes twice during standby, and keeps flashing during alarm.

Definition of Terminals

  • SV: 1) The wiring position of the middle terminal of the speed regulating potentiometer is used for speed regulation; 2) The positive wiring position of the external 10V is used for speed regulation.
  • ALM: Alarm signal interface, the other end is connected to GND
  • PG: Speed signal interface, the other end is connected to GND

  • EN: switch port, the other end is connected to GND
  • +5V: The actual output voltage is 10V
  • GND: ground wire
  • EN (Side): Switch the machine on and off. Note: It cannot be used with EN of the terminal block at the same time
  • F/R (side): forward and reverse

Alarm keeps flashing:

  1. Check whether the power supply voltage is normal and whether it is under-voltage protection caused by the low voltage.
  2. Check whether the motor load is overcurrent protection caused by too high.
  3. Check whether there is a short circuit or open circuit in the phase line;
  4. Check whether the Hall wire is short-circuited or short-circuited.

Fault phenomenon and analysis

Motor does not turn:

  • Check whether the power supply is normal.
  • Check whether the wiring of the motor wire and the Hall wire is firm and correct.
  • Whether the wiring of the potentiometer is correct and rotated to the correct position.

Motor is slow, fast, or vibrating:

  • Check whether the voltage is normal.
  • Check whether the phase of the Hall is correct, the phase of the Hall is easy to be wrongly connected, and the inspection should be careful.
